3 Little Mice

Alanna here and as always, I am thrilled to be sharing a project with you on the LDRS Creative blog here.

For my card today, I started by stamping the three different mice images from the absolutely adorable Happy Fall set onto some white card stock. These little mice images are just too cute. I love the one playing in the pile of leaves.

I quickly colored them with my alcohol markers. After my coloring was done, I cut them out with a 1 3/4 inch circle punch.

I then used that same circle punch and cut out 3 circles from an A2 size panel of this gorgeous wood patterned paper from the Happy Fall paper pack.

Let me tell you a bit about the patterned paper from LDRS Creative in case you've never used or felt it. It is absolutely gorgeous and such a heavy weight. It is not your typical thin patterned paper. It's perfect for a card like this where the patterned paper is off of the card base as it has enough weight to stand up.

I highly suggest you pick up a package with your next order and see for yourself. Click here to be taken to all the paper available in the store.

I then laid the piece with my circles removed over top of my card based and then adhered my little mice circles underneath.

I decided I better stamp my sentiment onto my panel before I did anything else. I love this sentiment from the Happy Fall set. It makes me so happy.

{HINT}: Do any stamping before you add any dimension to your panel to ensure you get a clean stamped image.

I then added lots of foam tape to the entire back portion of my patterned paper which I've shown below.

I removed all the backing strips from the foam tape and adhered my patterned paper panel over top of my card base.

This photo shows the dimension you achieve using this technique. It allows for the mice images to be set back and adds extra interest and dimension to this card.

And here is the finished card one more time. I hope you've left inspired. Crafty hugs!
