Hello, again, LDRS friends!  It's Andrea with you today sharing some 3-D ornaments and gift tags created with the new Peace and Hope Ornament Dies.  I have also used the Winter Land and Time for Tea paper packs.

Ornaments and gift tags created with the Hope and Peace Ornament Dies from LDRS

These dies cut and layer so beautifully, and they make super easy and elegant embellishments!  I thought they would also make perfect three-dimensional ornaments and gift tags, as well.

I used the Peace Ornament Dies to create my 3-D ornaments.  I die-cut four bases and four layers for each ornament.  After adhering a lacy layer to each base, I scored each base down the middle.  I scored the backs to prevent tearing or marring my layer.  I folded each piece towards its center, using a bone folder to get a good crease on the back.

Before adhering my ornament pieces together, I created tassels in coordinating floss or twine following this tutorial.  Using a hot glue gun, I adhered three bases together, matching up the edges.  I put a line of glue where those three joined in the middle and tucked in my tassel before adhering the fourth and final base.  I tied a knot in my tassel loop at the tops of my ornaments to make them look a bit more finished.  I think these would be gorgeous with beads on the tassels, but, unfortunately, I didn't have any beads in my stash with large enough openings.

Here's a short video so you can see the full ornaments.

I also created some beautiful gift tags with the new Hope Ornament Dies.  These come together so quickly and easily, and you can coordinate them to any wrapping paper or gift bag you have!

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope I've inspired you to check out the new dies in the shop.  We would love to see what you create with them in the Facebook group.
