Autumn Leaves

Hello there!  It's Andrea here sharing my last post as a designer for LDRS Creative. I've had a wonderful year on this team, but I need more time for my family.  This is not goodbye, however, as I'll be watching all of the exciting things LDRS Creative will be doing.
Now that it is officially Fall (although it doesn't feel like here in the southern United States), it is only fitting that I share a fall-inspired card, right?  My project uses the Fall Full O Leaves and Happy Fall stamp sets, as well as the Happy Days Circle Dies.
Contrary to my normal process, my card actually began with that awesome background.  To create it, I first white heat-embossed the stippled images from Fall Full O Leaves onto Bristol Smooth paper.  I then stamped the solid leaf images by inking up each image with two or more shades of distress ink and spritzing the stamp with water.  I love the watercolored effect it gives the leaves!  I also flicked on some water droplets to create more texture in the leaves.  Once everything was dry, I trimmed down the panel, distressed the edges, and adhered it to a kraft card base.
I stamped the bunny and mouse image and a few pumpkins from Happy Fall with Raven Hybrid Ink.  I colored the images with alcohol markers and cut them out.  I die-cut a circle with the Happy Days Circle Die Set and heat-embossed a sentiment from Happy Fall with copper embossing powder.  I inked up the circle with distress ink, flicked on some water, and adhered my images, popping up the mouse and bunny with foam tape.  I attached the circle to my card with dimensional adhesive and added some highlights with a white gel pen.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
