CAS Wedding Cards
Posted on April 28 2018
Hello, again! It's Andrea back with you today. Wedding season is almost upon us, and I'm sharing some simple, elegant wedding cards you can create in a flash! For both of my cards, I used the new Fancy Flowers Die Set and the oldie-but-goodie Wishing You Stamp Set. The first card also features the new Jubilee Magical Slider Die Set (I keep using these dies in non-traditional ways, but eventually I will get around to making a slider card!).
The small, scalloped rectangle from the Jubilee Magical Slider Die Set is the perfect size for that large, gorgeous sentiment from Wishing You. I die-cut the rectangle from a piece of A2-sized white cardstock. Onto the rectangle, I gold heat-embossed the sentiment from Wishing You.
I dressed up the negative die-cut piece by weaving pink embroidery floss through the openings. It was so easy to do, and I really love how it looks! I adhered the panel to a white card and added the rectangle with two layers of foam tape.
Using the Fancy Flowers Die Set, I die-cut several blossoms and leaves from solid cardstock. I inked up the edges with coordinating inks. To shape the flowers, I folded them where the petals meet in the valleys and then curled the tips slightly by wrapping them around a thin paintbrush. I did the same for the leaves. I attached the die-cuts to my card and added pearls to the centers of each flower.
I had some die-cuts left over, so I decided to create another card. After embossing a panel of white cardstock with an embossing folder I've had forever, I gold heat-embossed the same sentiment from Wishing You in the center.
After trimming down the embossed panel, I matted it with gold glitter paper and adhered it to a white card. I embellished it with my leftover die-cuts.
That's all from me today! Now, let's see what the fabulous Barbara has for us.
