Floral Friendship Card

Hello friends and welcome back!! The holidays are over but winter is still very much here (where I live anyway!).  It's about this time that I want to start making spring or summer type cards. Something with bright colours and florals!!  So today, I did just that!

I wanted a focal image of lots of flowers so I used the Daisy Daisy Stamp and Die Set.  This is a beautiful set of whimsical flowers that just scream to be coloured!!  I stamped them onto some watercolour paper with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  I arranged them in somewhat of a circle shape.

I used Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, Peacock Feathers and Evergreen Bough Distress Inks for some simple watercolour. Originally, I was going to leave the floral panel as is, but decided to fussy cut around the entire image so I could pop it up on the cardbase.

The sentiment is also heat embossed onto the circle die from the Holly Wreath Circle Die Set. This die has lovely cross-stitched border around the edge.  I adhered that directly onto the floral image.

The white cardbase is a 5.5 X 5.5 inch square card.  I used the one of the folders from the Picnic Quilt Embossing Folder set to emboss a piece of blue cardstock that was cut to 4.75 X 4.75.  I thought the circle was a little too plain so I took the tiny butterfly and flower dies from the Allifair Build a Card Die Set and quickly watercolored those as well!

To finish off, I adhered some tiny rhinestones that I've had in my stash for years!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I must mention that a lot of the products I used on today's card are ON SALE in the LDRS shop right now!!

Have a great day!

Laurie
