When I saw the Sun & Clouds die set, I knew it was going to be a set I'd reach for when creating scene cards. But after die-cutting all the pieces, I knew I wanted to make this little set shine bright as the centerpiece of my card.
I started by die-cutting the sun and the cloud several times. Using a black marker, I added a smile to the circle, along with some rosy cheeks - not only did this make the card feel more personal, but it was a quick and easy way to add a touch of whimsy. I adhered three suns in a column, then layered the clouds over the top with foam tape. I tried to make it look like the sky was slowly clearing up as the sunshine was peeking through.
Since the little scene I created took up the entire card front, I wanted to keep the sentiment small and simple. Thankfully, the Lemonade stamp set had the perfect sentiment! As a last step, I stamped the sentiment from the Lemonade stamp set using the Raven hybrid ink. I finished everything off by adding a little bit of bling with some sparkly and glossy enamel dots.
Thank you so much for today and make sure to come back tomorrow for more inspiration!
