Good morning my friends and welcome back!! Laurie here to share a cute little card featuring stamps from All Dressed Up! Now I have to admit that I absolutely love colouring these girls. The outfits are so trendy and its super fun to come up with patterns and colour combos for them!!
Let's have a look at my project, shall we??
First off, I have to mention that all the products in the shop work amazingly together! This card uses three different sets and they blend seamlessly...LOVE THAT!!
I used both rectangles from the Fancy Rectangles and Layer Die Set , the largest one in blue cardstock and the smaller one in white. To create the "hills" on my scene, I took two of the border dies from the Basic Cutting Edge Borders1 and cut some scrap white cardstock. I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks for the colour. They sky is Tumbled Glass Distress Ink applied with a makeup brush...time to invest in the Ink Dusters, I think! To make sure that my grassy hills had the same stitching detail as the rectangles, I simple ran the pieces through my Big Shot using the smallest rectangle die.
I then stamped out that gorgeous girl from the Girl's Night Out stamp set and coloured her with my Copic markers. I fussy cut her out (which is super easy!) and of course, added sparkle using my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Overlay.
I put my scene together using a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. I only had the hills and the girl and it looked a little plain so, out came the Allifair Build-a-Card Die Set. I highly recommend this set, it is worth every penny!! The clouds, the dragonfly and the flowers are all from this set. I again used Distress Inks to shade those elements.
I did a dry fit onto an A2 sized cardbase but I have an issue with white space, haha! I really wanted my focal point to stand out even more, so I decided to cut the base down to 3.75 X 5 inches. I think this is the perfect size for this card!! I added a few free hand lines around the edge to finish it off!
I was going to place the sentiment, which comes from the beautiful Friendly Greeting Stamp Set, on the inside of the card but decided it would look cute stamped on the hill. It was a risky move stamping after the card was done, but luckily, I had enough support from the foam adhesive on the back..phew!
Thank you so much for stopping in today! I hope you got a little inspiration!
