Frosty Winter Magic Fox
Posted on November 02 2018
Hello, folks! Are you ready for winter yet?
Elle here with a clean and simple creation that celebrates one of my favorite seasons - winter. It is certainly getting cold enough here to need mittens, scarves and warm boots, and having a stamp like Arctic Snowfall can really help capture that frosty winter air.
I always start my cards by gathering together some supplies. I find that not only does this help me stay organized, but it also keeps me inspired to come up with a fun and interesting design. For today's card, I chose to use the Happy Days Circle die, along with the Arctic Snowfall stamp and Hot Chocolate stamp for the sentiment.
I used the Coffee Bean hybrid ink from the Cobblestone mini inkpad collection to stamp out the adorable fox and his winter gear, then colored everything with my alcohol markers. I switched to Iced Tea for the sentiment, as it helped harmonize the palette I used for the fox. I added a piece of patterned paper from Happy Fall 6x6 paper pad that fit the chilly tones.
I added a little bit of dimension to my card by popping up elements onto some foam tape. I think that bit of foam tape adds a little extra interest to the card, but keeps it flat enough to mail out. I finished everything off with some bits of sequins and enamel dots I found in my stash.
Thank you so much for today and make sure to come back tomorrow for more inspiration!
