Wishing you were never blue...

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today, I would like to share my Wishing you were never blue project. After returning from the local cafe with a sweet little Christmas mug, I loved the green box that the mug was in so much, just had to create a gift box with it.

Where do we start?

Step 1: cut out the base card stock to the width and height of the box top, then cut another from pattern paper, 1/4 narrower and shorter. Use a paper distresser and dab the edges with a darker brown ink. Adhere both pieces onto the top lid of our box.

Step 2: cut three slim strips that will hold the die cuts created with the Creative Basics: Cutting Edge Borders I die set. Use a paper distresser on each strip of paper and dab the edges with a darker brown ink. Adhere all pieces on top of the base layers.

Step 3: Using the Peaceful Dove Edge die set, cut out leaves from different paper stocks.

Step 4: Create a small tag and stamp it with "Wishing you were never blue" stamp from the Wishing You stamp collection.

Step 5: add embellishments and assemble the box top

With two close up views

Thank you for stopping by and hope you're enjoying this lovely week,

hugs Rita
