Coneflower Stenciled Card

Hi, all! It's Lynnea! I used the GORGEOUS Coneflower Stencil from LDRS Creative two ways on one card! One is light and one is bold and mixing them together makes for this super cute card!
I haven't used the Coneflower Stencil yet - a complete travesty! I know! - and it was definitely time to break it in! I started this card by cutting a piece of cardstock with the largest die in the A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers Die Set and then used a piece of masking tape to mask off the top portion of the card so that I could stencil the bottom. I added the Coneflower Stencil onto my card and used Fandango Hybrid Ink to ink the centers of the flowers and Dan-D-Lion Hybrid Ink to ink the petals. There are leaves included in the stencil, but I didn't think it was necessary to bring in green. I wanted to keep the color scheme pretty simple.
I wiped any excess ink off of my stencil and added some iridescent shimmer gel over the top. I love how the saturated hybrid inks shine through the paste! I set the panel aside for about 20-30 minutes to dry while I worked on the rest of the card. I used Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp my image from the Beary Hoppy Stamp Set and colored it with alcohol markers then cut it with the coordinating Beary Hoppy Die Set
I needed some way to ground my image, so I reached for one of my staple die sets - Practically Square Frames - and cut out a scalloped square from white cardstock. I used Soft Kisses Ink and blended lightly around the edges to give a bit of color. This made me think that the top portion of my card was just too white, so I blended Soft Kisses Hybrid Ink around the edges of the card, but it was still missing something! I decided to place my Coneflower Stencil back onto my card and add a light layer of Soft Kisses Hybrid Ink over it creating a soft background. It was just what the card needed!
I added a strip of light pink cardstock where the stenciling meets and stamped a sentiment from the Beary Hoppy Stamp Set towards the bottom of my square and added it to the center of the card with foam tape. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! See you soon!
