Alpha Stencils

Hello and welcome back to the LDRS inspiration blog.  Today I am creating with the Alpha Stencil Pack, the Fuzzy Wuzzies Birthday Suit Add-on Stamps & Dies, the Star Octagon Frame Dies, and the Happy Birthday Sentiment Stack.  The Alpha Stencil Pack also has a coordinating A to Z Sentiment Stamps set that is wonderful and can be purchased as a Bundle!  I didn't use the Sentiment stamp set for this card, but I have them and can't wait to play with them and create some great gift card sets.

I started with an A2 white card base and used post-it tape to attach the stencil to the card panel at the top and bottom.  This keeps everything secure while ink blending so you get a good crisp clean blending line.

I created an ombre' rainbow ink blend using 3 LDRS Hybrid inks:  Fandango, Banana Cream Pie, and Marina Madness.  The overlap between the colors creates the orange and green colors.

Next, I removed and cleaned the stencil.  I  created a mask of the "L" by tracing the stencil on masking paper and covering the ink blending in preparation of stamping the Fuzzy Wuzzies.  I wanted it to appear that one of the Fuzzy Wuzzies was peeking out from behind the letter.

After masking, I stamped the larger Fuzzy in Raven ink and his legs in Coffee Bean.  The smaller Fuzzy I stamped in Fairie Dust and his legs in Iced Tea.  Their party hats and beaks were die cut from card stock scraps.  I embellished the party hats with glitter pens for some sparkle!

To finish off the card, I die cut the panel using the Star Octagon Frame Dies, which add so much visual interest!  I really love these dies!  I also die cut two other sizes in coordinating card stock colors to layer the card panel.  I adhered the layered panel onto an A2 card base in white and added a sentiment die cut with a die from the same Frame set.

I, lastly, sprinkled a few gold sequins around for a little more shine and called it good.  I love pink and black together and the rainbow ink blending adds a little element of surprise.  What would you add to elevate this card??

I hope you find some time to get crafty!  Hugs, LeeAnn
