Balloon Bouquet Easel Card
Hello crafty friends! Its Jen here. I do love making christmas cards but the closer I get to Christmas the more I look forward to using new products for the spring season ahead. So this month I'd like to share this wonderful easel card with you all.
Products used
I also used the following items from my craft stash
Pink, orange, yellow, green & teal inks
Yellow Glitter Paste
White Embossing Power
Anti-static Powder Tool
Letterpress Platform
White & Teal Cardstock
Liquid Glue
Foam Adhesive
I started by cutting and scoring a teal, top folding A2 card base and 2 scalloped panels from white card stock.
To create the easel card I scored the front panel of the teal card base at 2 3/4 inches. I also scored one of the white scalloped panels in half, horizontally and adhered them both together with liquid glue. Once dry I reinforced the score line to ensure the card would open and close easily.
The second white panel was glued inside the card as a place to write a personal message to the recipient.
Next I got to work on the focal part of this card design. I inked the Balloon Bouquet press plate with Raven ink and ran it through my die cutting machine on a letter press platform.
I then used a rainbow of inks from my stash and the co-ordinating Balloon Bouquet stencil to colour in the images. On the yellow balloons is also used a giltter paste from my stash for a bit of shine.
Once the paste was dry I cut out the image with the co-ordinating die and stacked it onto 3 more plain white diecuts to give it stability and dimension.
The balloon bouquet was added to the front panel of the card base with liquid glue but I was careful to only apply glue to the bottom half of the image so that the card could still bend at the score line.
I heat embossed 2 sentiments from the Hugs & Kisses stamp set in white onto teal cardstock and cut them out using the co-ordinating dies from the Postage Collage dies.
I trimmed off the bow from the image were the balloon strings are gathered and replaced it with the round sentiment. To complete the card the smaller sentiment was stacked up on an additional 2 layers of cardstock and adhered to the inside of the card as a sort of stopper. This allows the easel card to stand up whilst on display.
I'd like to wish all those who celebrate a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I'll catch you all again in 2025!
