Been Thinking of You!
Hello! LeeAnn here with a couple of fun cards using the Big Words 4x6 - Thinking stamp and die set. I've got a couple of different variations with these cards, but you can use either the stamp set or the die set stand alone, if you have to choose only one!
This first card features only the die set. I die cut the main image, "thinking" from 4 different colors.
I then used one of them as the base layer and cut alternating letters from the other colors and glued them on top of the base layer. This created a fun image that is visually interesting. The die set comes with a shadow layer, which I die cut in black.
I die cut two card panels, one in white and one in black using the A2 Stitched Layered Card Topper Dies. And added the Thinking panel on top using foam squares for dimension. The card base is an A2, top fold in the same green cardstock as the light green in the die cut image.
Next, I die cut the Been, Of, & You three times each in white card stock. I layered each of the words on top of each other to make a thicker and more dimensional word. It helps the smaller words stand out a little. I glued each of them onto the Thinking panel and added sequins for shine. Simple and fun and I love to die cut so this card speaks to me!!!
I'm also a little heart broken because sometime after I die cut these small words, I misplaced the Of die! I'm sure it's stuck to something and it'll turn up, but I literally went through every item in my trash can and was down on my hands and knees looking for the little guy. Have any of you done that??? It's so disappointing as I have more cards planned!
This next card uses four shades of Pink hybrid inks to create an ombre' effect with the stamp set. I used Soft Kisses, Pink Tutu, Lipstick Jungle, & Tickled Pink. I inked up the stamp one color at a time and cleaned my stamp in between to keep from cross contaminating the colors. I did the big "thinking" stamp and the line accent stamp both the same way and in the same order. It might have been fun to reverse the order on the line accent or do complimentary colors. I then stamped the "thinking" in Watermark ink and heat embossed with sparkle embossing powder to add a little shine.
Lastly, I die cut the small words from black cardstock and stacked exactly as I did with the first card. The stamp set comes with the small words as well, so you could easily stamp and fussy cut, if you wish. I layered the card panel cut from the same A2 Stitched Layered Card Topper dies on black and pink card stock before mounting to the white A2, top fold card base. I love the look of hot pink and black. So sharp and eye catching!
I'm back to looking for my little "of"! :-( Nothing worse than a misplaced die when I have more plans for additional cards!
Crafty Hugs,
LeeAnn
First, apologies for all the times I have misspelled your name LeeAnn. Always learn something from each of your videos and this was no exception. Also had a giggle thinking of all the times I have had to empty out garbage looking for a small runaway die. Least favorite is when craft area garbage has been added to the REAL garbage can mixed with food, etc. Fun? NOT!
