Birthday Celebration
Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today to share another card using a variety of items from LDRS Creative's recent release. I hope you’ve been enjoying all the new items and get inspired to create.
One of the new girls in the LDRS Creative line is Ruby. I loved the birthday/celebration theme of the release and decided to keep on going with it by using Ruby - Celebration. I stamped this pretty girl using Raven ink and colored her in using alcohol markers.
I wanted to add a bit of interest to the card itself but keep a lot of the focus on her still. I masked off the bottom portion and stamped the flower cluster from If Friends Were Flowers. I also used masking paper so I could fill the entire space at the bottom fo the card.
I used two distress inks to quickly color up the flowers. Once I finished the bottom portion, I realized that I needed to balance it out on the top so I did the same technique.
I love how it turned out though. It was a pop of color without too much work.
The Ruby - Celebration stamp left a large space on the right hand side, so I grabbed the large birthday sentiment from Life is Sweet stamp set. I do enjoy large sentiments when you have a lot of white space. To finish off this card, I added a few pink embellishments around the sentiments.
I just love how this card came together; it's so bright and cheerful! Don't you think?
Thanks for stopping by! Come back again soon for some more inspiration and ideas!
