Bringing New Life to an Older Stamp with the New Cozy Days Inlay Stamps

Hey there, Sam here on the blog. One of my favourite ways to extend the life of an older crafty stamp is to pair it with a new crafty item. For the following cards I wanted to decorate the older Cozy Cuppa mug with the new designs in the Cozy Days Inlay Stamps. They fit perfectly together!

Get the look:

Both of these cards follow the exact same steps to create the same but different card. The differences are in the colour, background foil and ink choices. The combination options are endless!
  • BACKGROUND: Set up the Chain Link Lattice Background Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate using the better press, and favourite colour of foil. (Follow the better press instructions to adhere the foiled pattern).

  • Die cut piece the foiled Chain Link Lattice Background with Mixed Scallop Rectangle Dies.

  • Attach the scallop rectangle to the card base.

  • FOREGROUND: Stamp sentiment from Baby It's Cold Outside Collage and die cut with the smallest die in the Mixed Scallop Rectangle Dies set.

  • Stamp the mug from Cozy Cuppa.

  • Position one of the layering stamps from Cozy Days Inlay in the frame of the stamped mug. The stamped image nests perfectly inside the mug outline. Stamp with versa mark and heat emboss with your favourite embossing powder. Repeat with the additional stamp layers. Either with same or different embossing powder.

  • Lightly ink blend over the embossed image within the stamped lines of the mug if you wish to add some colour to the mug.

  • Add some additional complimenting colours with alcohol markers to the mug handle and rim.

  • Die cut out the mug.

  • Adhere the mug and sentiment to the background with some foam tape for dimension.

    Hope you ‘enjoy’ed . Happy papercrafting : )
