Bubbalicious Birthday wishes

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here with you today with a very shiny birthday card perfect for boys and girls. 

I love the gumball machine image in the Goody gumdrops stamp set, i always wanted to have one like this even though i was never a big fan of this type of chewing gum. I stamped it on white cardstock with Raven black Hybrid ink and matched it with some funny sentiments from the Wordalicious stamp set. Then i cut the panel down to a narrower strip and stamped the candy cane on both sides. I used alcohol markers for colouring but kept the colours simple: blues, reds and grays.

When i have finished colouring, i gave the panel a dark red mat and adhered it to a dotted patterned paper from the Homemade happiness paper pad.

And now what makes this card really special: the finishing touches. I covered the candy cans and some parts of the gumball machine with a clear shimmer pen for a subtle sparkle and added glossy accents to the stripes and the gums. I also used a white gel pen to add some highlights.
