Candy Cane Lane Slimline Card
Hello, hello! It's Lynnea and I'm ready to get a head start on my Holiday cards! Are you?! I used the Candy Cane Lane Stamp Set and created a classically colored Christmas slimline card!
I LOVE non traditional Christmas colors, but the Candy Cane Lane Stamp Set was begging for a traditional red and green color combo. I used Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp out two gingerbread men and one of each of the reindeer, colored them with alcohol markers, and cut them out with the coordinating Candy Cane Lane Die Set. I die cut a stitched square using the largest die from the Stitched Square Die Set and used the Candy Cane Lane Stamp Set to build my sentiment with a mix of Evergreen and Kiss Me Red Hybrid Inks.
Originally I thought I would use patterned paper to create my background, but the Plaid Stencil was calling my name! This is one of the most used stencils in my stash! I use it all the time! I cut a slimline panel sized 3.25" x 8.25" and positioned the Plaid Stencil over the top and blended on Kiss Me Red Hybrid Ink, shifted the stencil down, and blended the remaining portion of the slimline card. I used the Slimline Scallop Die Set to die cut a white frame for my background and used strong adhesive to adhere it to the stenciled background.
I used foam tape to add all of my Candy Cane Lane elements to the stenciled slimline background. I just love these classic Christmas colors, don't you!?
