Cloud No. 9

Hi there! It's Jeannie and I'm back today to share this clean and simple card with you today. It's never a bad time to send out a card reminding someone that you love them. So today, I took a break from the holidays to pull this card together. 

I adore this particular hot air balloon image from the Cloud No. 9 set and I think it's so sweet. I also love the clouds included in this set as well. I stamped the hot air balloon image first, created a mask for it, and then added some additional clouds around it. I really love how it turned out. 

I stamped the sentiment below the image, and it nested perfectly under the clouds. 

Since this card was so simple, I needed to add a little bit of interest to it in its entirety. There's this gorgeous paper pad named Sincerely Yours and it has a ton of pretty patterned paper focused on pink, red, white and black. I pulled a piece that had a variety of diagonal lines. 

I trimmed down the main card panel by half and inch. I wanted to add two layers, one with the patterned paper (measured at 4.25 x 5.5) and one with plain black (measured at 4 x 5.5). I layered them and I think it added the bit of interest it needed to complete the card.
