Dimensional Stamping

Good morning!!  LeeAnn here on the blog today with a fun way to stretch the usefulness of your stamps and make them look dimensional.  I love this technique and today I made a batch of birthday cards to have on hand in three different colors!
I'm using the Big Words - birthday stamp set and the coordinating dies.  This set has a dimensional look to the standard stamping and using this method gives it an even more dimensional look.
I'm starting with the stamp set slightly off center on the A2 card panel.  I first stamp the image in Snowy White Hybrid Ink.
I allow the ink to dry completely and die cut my "happy"
word in triplicate, while I wait.  Honestly I like the look of the White ink on the colored cardstock as well.
Next, I move the stamp to the center of the cardstock where it is slightly to the right of the original white stamped image. I then stamped the same image in color.  In this picture it is stamped in Soft Kisses Hybrid Ink.  I used Alloy Hybrid Ink on the gray cardstock panel and Marina Madness on the blue cardstock panel, along with the white base stamp.  I just love the look of this technique.
I cut the card panel down by 1/8" and mounted on an A2 card base with foam strips.  I die cut the Happy in triplicate so I could stack for added dimension.  This is a great time to use some of your scraps!!  I used a galvanized steel silver cardstock for the happy on the blue card.  I used gold foil on the pink card and plain black on the gray card for a more masculine look.
Lastly, you can embellish with some fun sparkly or shiny enamel dots.  I think these would have a fun grunge look to them with added black and white splatters on the back ground as well.  You could certainly add your own flair!
Easy and fun way to mass produce a stash of birthday cards.  Let me know what you think in the comments!!
