Fall Card Featuring Build A Tree Stamp Set

Hello my crafty friends!  Maria here on the blog with you and it's my turn to share a fun project featuring one of my favorite stamp set from the summer release called Build A Tree along with an older stamp called Happy Fall.  I absolutely LOVE that LDRS Creative makes it easy for us to mix and match stamp sets (or dies) to create a beautiful scene!

I started by stamping my images using the Raven Hybrid ink on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my alcohol markers.  I used the Build-A-tree coordinating dies to die-cut them out.  The Happy Fall stamp set did not come with coordinating dies so I used my precision snips to fussy-cut them.

The Background was created using the Rainy Day stencil and Marina Madness Hybrid ink.  The grass was die-cut using the In the Grass die set and the Country Lane Paper Pack, while the front grass layer was just die-cut using the same grass die, and colored with alcohol markers.  This gave it more texture and variation between the grass layers.

I adhered the first grass panel on the colored background with some liquid glue.  Next, I foam-mounted the large tree trunk and the second grass panel for added dimension.  I adhered the branches and the leaves, making sure to leave some space for my critters. I added foam adhesive to my focal image and adhered on the card.  The other images were added with some liquid glue.

To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment on some black card stock using the Watermark ink.  I added some white embossing powder and used my heating tool to heat-set the sentiment. I didn't want to add more bulk to the card so I adhered this with some liquid glue.  Here's another look:

Fall is my favorite season and I love creating fall cards.  LDRS Creative has so many cute stamp sets and it was so hard for me to pick and choose which one to feature today.  I really had so much fun creating this fall scene.  I hope you like it too.  Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
