Fancy Flowers CAS Card
Hi everybody! Thi here and I'm happy to debut my LDRS Creative card today. My card today features Polkadoodles Fancy Flowers and Polkadoodles Super Sprigs.
First, I did some ink blending onto white card stock paper. I blended inks in darker and lighter shades to get a nice gradient for dimension and interest. I then die cut the Super Sprigs and Fancy Flowers out of the ink blended paper.
For the center piece of the Fancy Flowers, I die cut them out in glittery paper because...GLITTER! Quick Tip: I always use a shim when I die cut anything out of glitter paper. It just comes out cleaner - especially when it has tiny details like the little holes in the center piece of the Fancy Flowers dies.
Next, I popped the middle piece of the flower with a small piece of foam tape only in the center. This creates dimension but also gives it a soft, fluttery look...which I love.
I kept things clean by adhering everything to a plain, white A2 sized card base. I first adhered the leaves and sprigs directly on the card base with some glue. I then added more foam tape to back of the entire flower and arranged them on top of the leaves and sprigs.
For my sentiment, I heat embossed a sentiment from Polkadoodles Mini Winnie. I wanted something very plain and the font on this sentiment was perfect. Not to mention, the sentiment itself couldn't be anymore perfect for a fun, cheery card as well!
I stamped the sentiment with LDRS Watermark Emboss Pad onto black cardstock and heat embossed white embossing powder. I popped that on with foam tape as well. Lastly, I glued on some clear droplets and my card is finished.
Thank you for checking out my card. I hope I inspired you to make something today!
