Foil Flowers

Hello and welcome back to the blog. Today I would love to share with you the details of this card I created using the Sweetheart Floral Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate. It is a plate designed for use with the BetterPress system, but these also work with the Glimmer Hot Foil system, which is how I used them for this card.  This plate set also has a coordinating layered stencil set available.  While I did not use them for this card, it is a great time saver!

I started by transferring the image onto foil cardstock using a bright pink foil. The plate comes with a coordinating die to cut out the image. I colored the image using alcohol markers, which look amazing on the foil cardstock.

I’m using an A2 white card base and layered a pink card panel, followed by a champagne foil layer and a white top layer, both die cut using the A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers. I’ve adhered the die cut image using liquid glue and I’ve chosen a sentiment from the Special Occasions 4x8 Stamp set. This sentiment set comes with matching dies to cut the sentiment and an outline, if you so choose. I love sentiments that have matching dies. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock in Watermark ink, and heat embossed using gold metallic embossing powder.
