Tutorial: Foiling with New Toner Topper Packs

Besides a laminator all you need to add is toner reactive foil to these Toner Topper Paper Packs. The options available for reactive foil colours are endless including rainbow and sparkly. I choose a variety of different colours of toner reactive foil from my stash. Cut the foil to approximately the same size as the 6x6 toner paper with a slight overhang.
Lay the toner topper pattern facing up and lay the pretty side of the foil facing up ontop of the toner sheet. (Basically both toner and foil, pretty sides face up towards you)
Take this foil sandwich and run it through a preheated laminator in between a piece of folded parchment paper or laminator carrier.
Once you’ve run it through the laminator you can peel back the film to reveal the gorgeous foiled toner sheet.
BONUS: Run the left over piece of foil film on the Solid Toner Sheets following same above instructions to get a reverse foiled image on black.

For this first card I wanted to keep everything fairly clean and let the foil be the star.
Pull a sheet from the Floral Toner Toppers 6x6 Paper Pack and a multi colour foil. This one ranges from pink to yellow to purples. Follow above foiling instructions.
White emboss on bright pink card stock a sentiment from the new Special Occasions 4x8 Stamp. Die cut out the sentiment and also a vellum layer with Special Occasions Coordinating Dies.
Die cut foiled background with A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers and adhere to an A2 bright pink card base. Finish by adding sentiment.

Stepping up the foiled background by adding some ink blending overtop.
Pull a sheet from the Geometric Toner Toppers 6x6 Paper Pack and a silver sparkly foil. Follow above foiling instructions.
For this background ink blend Pink Tutu, Mrs. Periwinkle and Peachy Keen over the background
INK BLENDING TIP: I tried ink blending before foiling the Toner Topper Paper Packs and after foiling them. It works great both ways. I would just take a cloth and lightly wipe off any possible remaining ink off either the toner or foil.
To showcase a lot of the foiled background I chose to create a 5”x7” card base and adhere a 4”x6” cut piece of foil background.
Again to keep the focus on the pretty background apply a Peony from Peony Layering Dies separated from the background by a white card stock circle. The Peony is ink blended with Pink Tutu and Mrs. Periwinkle. (I think these Peony Layering Dies are my absolute favourite item from this release. When I built this ink blended peony I definitely let out a little squeal of delight).
For a subtle sentiment silver emboss the Hello on black from the Spring Gift Tag Stack. Cut it down and add it ontop of the Peony.

My last card today is another example with ink blending and foil.
Pull a sheet from the Geometric Toner Toppers 6x6 Paper Pack and a silver sparkly foil. Follow above foiling instructions.
For this background ink blend Dark Wash Jeans , Evergreen and Key Lime Pie ink over the background.
Die cut the foiled background with A2 Diagonal Stitched Layered Card Toppers Die using the largest size die.
Die cut the smaller foliage piece twice from Lovely Wildflower Cluster Dies with dark green card stock and vellum.
Silver emboss on black card stock a sentiment from the new Special Occasions 4x8 Stamp. Die cut out the sentiment with Special Occasions Coordinating Dies.
Time to build the card. Layer and adhere the vellum foliage, green foliage and sentiment onto the foiled background. Add to A2 card base.
