Halloween Postage Collage
It’s official….everyone loves the Postage Collage Collection! Me included!!!! This Halloween release is so creative and fun! The color combinations are endless!
Today I'm making an A2 top folding card using the Nested Postage Collage Dies, the Halloween Postage Collage Layering Stencils, and the Halloween Postage Collage Stamps. I started with a white A2 card panel and die cut using the postage collage dies.
The Layering stencils are numbered from 1 to 4 and there is a very useful guide inside the packaging. This is helpful to pick colors and to show which stencil colors which part of the image. Make sure you open the packaging!! I started with stencil #1 and used Key Lime Pie for most of the backgrounds, except the lower left where I used In Your Face Orange. I continued with each layer until all colors were complete. My best piece of advice with stenciling is start with the lightest colors on each stencil and end with the darkest. That way the dark colors don't get picked up when blending other colors. It makes for a cleaner look when all finished.
You can see all the colors I used in this photo. I also used Iced Tea, Raven, Grape Ape, Banana Cream Pie, Mrs. Periwinkle, and Alloy. You can certainly use the card panel, as is, with just the stenciling. But, of course, I'm extra so opted to jazz it up with the Halloween Postage Collage Stamp set. All the images I chose are stamped in Raven ink.
I finished the card with an orange card panel die cut with the postage edge layered under the stenciled card panel. Both of these are mounted on an A2 card base in green. I added a few orange enamel dots for a little shine. I love the mix of purple, green and orange on Halloween cards. It's my favorite combination.
I hope you find some time today to get crafty! Hugs, LeeAnn
