Hang like a Monkey

Hi there! It's Jeannie and I'm back to share a fun card using a variety of items from the LDRS Creative shop.

When I saw the Woodland Foilage Frames, I loved how they include multiple frames and I knew that I wanted to create a frame using the two smaller frames. When I die cut the frame out, I decided to make a shaker card. I also used the Safari stamp and die set, stamping out the vine and the monkey using Raven Hybrid Ink. For the monkey, I used the die included in the set to cut him out. Since I manipulated the vine to be longer, I had to fussy cut that image.

Although the frame would have been enough, I really wanted to use the Super Sprigs to decorate the frame. I inked up some paper using a random variety of green inks and die cut several of these sprigs. After doing this, I added a piece of acetate to the frame and stamped on the "Hang In there" sentiment directly on it. I wanted it to be front and center on the card.

Once I put together the frame, I add foam tape to add the dimension I need to make this card a shaker.

I just add the bits I want to use inside the shaker and my card is done. I think it's a perfect card to help brighten any one's day.

I hope it brightened your day and I'll see you next time for more fun cards.

Hi folks!! Laurie here!  Wasn't Jeannies card amazing?! So beautiful!

I used the Super Sprigs Die Set for a bit of greenery.

I should mention that I had a piece of blue cardstock that was cut with one of the oval dies from the new Woodland Foliage Frames Die Set.  To make this card super easy, I decided to just use coloured cardstock for all my die cutting.

I did a bit of a "dry run" by placing the die cuts where I wanted them before adhering them down.  I decided it needed a bit of colour in the background, so I used some Dan-D-Lion Hybrid Ink to do some simple blending.

I decided to leave this card glitter or embellishment free...which was hard :)

This card came together quite quickly and I love the way it turned out!

Thank you for stopping by!!  See you soon!
Laurie
