Hello Sunshine

Hello everyone! It's Ashley today with a card featuring some of the super cute new dies from the LDRS Summer Critters release!

I started by making a light cloud background with the Rainy Day stencil and Hybrid Inks in Swimming Hole and Bali Blue on white cardstock. These inks blend so beautifully! I used one of the new Scalloped Rectangle Frame dies to add a fun border to the panel.

I die cut the clouds using the new In a Cloudy Sky die and blended a bit of Swimming Hole and Bali Blue inks onto the pieces to add dimension. For the happy little sun, I used the new Here Comes the Sun die. I cut each piece of the sun out of a different shade of yellow cardstock, then added dimension with Lantern Yellow and Dan-D-Lion hybrid inks.

Once I decided on the layout of my die cuts, I stamped the sentiment before adhering them in place. I grabbed the "hello" from Beautiful Blooms and the "sunshine" from Puddle Jumper - they fit together perfectly! I stamped in Dark Wash Jeans then quickly added clear embossing powder and heat set.

I glued my die cut clouds and sun in place, popping a few up with foam tape. I decided to pop the whole panel up with foam tape before adhering to a light gray card base. I think it gives some nice added interest to the whole card!
