Hi from the Soda Shop

Hello Friends, it's Carol here today and I have the sweetest card to share! I used the Soda Shop Pocket Pals stamp set to create this groovy scene!
I started by stamping the large soda shop image and began coloring with my alcohol markers. Since this is such a cute scene, I wanted to use some bright colors to really make the image stand out.
After coloring, I chose a cute girl from the Greasers Pocket Pals stamp set, gave her a little color then cut out both images using the coordinating die from each set. Next, I grabbed one of my favorite patterned paper pads, Favorite Things and I chose this cute checkered pattern to use a backdrop for my image.
I adhered everything to my slimline card base and then I realized, I need a sentiment! I was so excited with coloring, I almost forgot my sentiment. But, the One Fine Day puffy stickers to the rescue! I added the word HI to the little shrub on the right hand side. I absolutely love how this card turned out! If you haven't worked with the pocket pals before, you should really pick up a set because they are so much fun!
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today!

    Hi Carol,
So happy to see someone else use this set. I fell in love as soon as it came out. I’m currently coloring all stamps every night and just started some cutting out. At my senior age I was worried about all that teeny painting but Lynnea convinced me (and she was right) that it’s actually easier than large items that require great blending, etc. HOWEVER, matching up colored stamps with the correct die is quite another challenge. It’s all worth while. This scene is GOING to make 30-40 cards for all those pals I used to meet at “Goody’s” every friday night all those years ago. Your card is so cute and helps with a decision I was pondering…use full set for the slimline cards but maybe some of them could be mini slimline, requiring a LOT less work. :) The gingham background is just perfect! Thanks so much for sharing!!
