Holiday easel place card

Hello everyone ! Lounon here !

Are you on Team “All my holiday cards are ready by December 1st” or more like “I start mine on December 1st”?
I’ll be honest… I definitely fall into the second group. That said, this year I’m really going to try to get a head start (even if I might have said the same thing last year...).

But today, I’m not starting with a card, I made something a little different: a pretty easel place card using products from the new Cozy Corners collection.

I went with traditional holiday colors, but of course, you can easily switch things up for a fall-inspired look or your own personal style.

Products used:

-Me To You Holiday Sentiments 4x6 Stamps

-Ever Welcome Wreath 4x6 Stamps

-Elegant Pinpoint Frame Dies

-Mini Foliage Dies

First, I stamped my wreath from the Ever Welcome Wreath Stamps onto marker-friendly cardstock with my Raven inkpad. I also die cut 6 leaves with the Mini Foliage Dies.

I colored them with my alcohol markers.

I fussy cut my wreath, but just before that, I glued it onto brown cardstock to give the back a clean finish.
Make sure not to use cardstock that's too thick, as it might make cutting more difficult.

If you prefer, you can also fussy cut your wreath first, then stamp it a second time on brown cardstock, fussy cut that one as well, and glue them together for the same effect.

For the base of the easel card, I used the Elegant Pinpoint Frame Dies.

First, I folded a piece of dark brown cardstock in half and used the second largest die (3.5" x 4 5/8") on it. I made sure to let the die hang slightly over the fold to create a hinge. Then, I folded the front panel in two.

Then, I used the next smaller die (3 1/8" x  4 1/4") on medium brown cardstock and cut it twice. I trimmed the bottom part off one piece to glue on the front of the card, and I slightly trimmed the second one to adhere to the inside.

On the smallest trimmed piece, I stamped my sentiment from the Me To You Holiday Sentiments Stamps with my Watermark Emboss Pad and embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I also used the smallest Elegant Pinpoint Frame Dies six times on dark brown cardstock. This is where you'll write your guest's name. I used a watermark pen and heat-embossed it with the same gold embossing powder I used earlier, but you could also use a gold marker instead.

I matted and layered them, and glued my leaves behind. I glued them on the bottom of the card. I also glued my wreath on the top part.

Finally, I splattered gold watercolors on the card with water and a brush.

Et voilà!

May the craft be with you!
