Hot Chocolate, Cold Nose

Hi there! It's Jeannie and I'm back to share a new card with you! It's been super chilly where I live, which I love because I have the perfect reason to stay inside. I love being able to stay inside and hot chocolate is a must... so I pulled out the Hot Chocolate set for today's card. I really love the snowflakes included in this set and wanted to create a background with it. I used them all over the background on watercolor paper using the Watermark emboss pad along with white embossing powder. I then used some watercolors to add a variation of blues and purples.
I stamped the girl image in the set and fussy cut her out. She's adorable and I wanted her to match the background but still stand out. I think the blues did that for her.
I also wanted to add additional interest to the card, so I pulled out two hybrid inks, Swimming Hole and La La Lavender. I literally smeared the two inks on the edge of a piece of A2 cardstock. I really like how it turned out. I also added a piece of white cardstock because I wanted to break up the layers.

I think this card turned out pretty cute. I love the snowflake details and the pop of colors from the two inks. Hope you enjoyed the card as well. See you next time for some more inspiration!
