Hugs with a Fun Background

Hi friends and happy Saturday. Alanna here and I am so excited about my card share today.

I am using the beautiful new Cherry Blossoms set that was just released a few weeks ago.  This is my  new favorite stamp set from LDRS Creative. It is absolutely so gorgeous and the sentiments are just perfect. 

I am pairing it with the Waffle Cone stencil and the largest die from the Scalloped Rectangle Frame die collection.

I started out by creating my background. I added some transfer gel over the Waffle Cone stencil and set it aside to dry.  I then sprinkled on a few colors of dry powder over the stenciled background.  I spritzed on some water and this is how it turned out.  I love the colors and the dimension.

I then stamped and fussy cut a few of the images from the Cherry Blossoms set.  I added quick coloring to them by using a blending brush to sponge on a couple shades of purple ink.

I stamped the large Hugs sentiment which is also from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set with the Raven Hybrid ink pad. I die cut my stamped panel with one of the circle dies from the Scalloped Circle Frame die collection.

I then added everything onto my panel.  The hugs circle was added with a thin layer of foam tape for added dimension.

I then added the flowers and my card is done.

{TIP} - add a bit of foam tape underneath the portions of the flowers that hang off the center panel for added stability.
