Let's Be Mermaids Under the Sea

Hello Everyone! Today I am so excited to share with you a Mermaid themed card that I created for inspiration this week featuring some Amazing Stamps, Dies, and Stencils from LDRS Creative.

For my card I am showcasing the Beautiful Mermaid Treasures Clear Stamp Set, Coordinating Dies, and Stencil. I just Love how versatile the stamps, dies, stencils, and inks are from LDRS Creative, and how they can be used for so many different occasions and projects. Now here is what I created:

To create my card first I cut my card base layers with the Slimline Corner Scalloped Die set from the Seaside Paper Pack and plain white watercolor paper. Then I die cut the Ocean waves using the By the Sea Die, and the bottom sand border using the At the Beach Die.

Next I ink blended my ocean wave layers using the Tropical Sea and Bali Blue Hybrid Inks. To create more depth and pattern to my waves, I placed the Ocean Waves Stencil over the areas I just ink blended, and added a second layer of color. Then at the bottom of the top wave layer, I used the Under the Sea Stencil with the Bali Blue and Raven Hybrid Inks to create my dark blue seaweed silhouettes.

I then watered down some white acrylic paint and then splattered my finished ocean scene with a paintbrush loaded with the paint, and then quickly tapping it against my hand to create small white sea spray accents.

To complete my ocean scene I stamped and colored the Beautiful Mermaids with Alcohol Markers and added them to the front of my card with foam squares for some added dimension.
