Mermaid Treasures

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with LDRS Creative’s stamp set and coordinating dies named, Mermaid Treasures.
I wanted to create a simple card so I focused on one of the mermaids out of the set. I colored her using some alcohol markers for a no line look. When I finished coloring, I used the coordinating die.
I really wanted to use the Mermaid Shimmer stencil but wanted some glimmer. I used Marina Madness and Fandango and mixed them in with some glimmer paste. I wanted these two colors so it could be similar to how I colored up the mermaid and when it mixed, it made a light purple.
Mermaid Treasures has a bunch of sentiments, so I chose a birthday one and stamped it using Watermark ink with white embossing powder on black cardstock.
I trimmed down my glimmer stenciled piece along with the sentiment and put it all together. To finish off the card, I scattered a few embellishments along the empty space.
