Picnic Days Postage Collage Card
Hi all, It's Jennifer here. The year is flying by so far and I can't believe that we are at the end of May already! Where I live we have been blessed with beautiful early summer weather for the past 2 months! It's been so warm that I was inspired to make a summer picnic themed card using another of our postage collage stencil sets.

I began this card by lightly ink blending a US A2 card panel with Swimming Hole Hybrid Ink, concentrating the colour to the outside edges and fading it to white in the centre. The idea was to create a soft, dreamy sky as my background.
Next I took another US A2 white panel and Ink blended the Gingham Check onto it in Kiss Me Red Ink. This stencil set comes with 2 stencils, a solid check and a striped check. As I was trying to re-create a traditional looking picnic blanket, I omitted the striped check stencil and used the solid stencil twice instead. Once finished I glued the check panel onto my sky background at an angle and trimmed the excess with scissors.
For the next step, I die cut a white cardstock panel with the Postage College Die. Then used the Picnic Days Stencil and various LDRS Hybrid Ink colours to create these fun postage stamps. Note that on the stencil, the lemonade straw is solid, so I used some low tack tape to mask off small sections so that I could create a striped straw.
Once I'd finished all my ink blending I cut the images apart to create individual stamps and arranged 4 of them onto the front of my card. To create dimension I added some images flat to the background and others were popped up with foam tape of varying heights.
I added a sentiment from the Macarons stamp set to the bottom of the card with Raven Ink and finished off by adding a few clear droplet embelishments before adhering the whole thing to a top folding A2 card base.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing how I made this and I look forward to seeing what you all create with this fun set.
Catch you all again soon!
