Postage Collage Addiction
Hello and welcome back to the inspiration blog. Today I am playing with the Nested Postage Collage Dies and coordinating Stencils and I am ADDICTED! These dies and the versatility they offer along with the coordinating stencils and stamp sets are DIVINE. Today's card features the die set used as a stand alone card panel, but you can also cut apart the individual stamps and arrange them separately on the card if you wish. They are just so cute, I can't get enough.
The stencil set I'm using today is the All Occasion Postage Collage Layering Stencils. They are absolutely adorable. I cannot imagine anything cuter. I'm also embellishing the stenciled design with the Here Comes the Sun Postage Collage Stamp Set, which has many darling little stamps that are so fun! The die set also has dies that coordinate with some of these stamps!! So clever!
I started with an A2 sized kraft card panel and die cut using the main postage collage die. The magic begins with the stenciling. The layered stencils are numbered 1, 2, & 3. You start with #1 and I lay down white ink first as a base layer on the kraft card stock to support the color and make it pop. I used Snowy White for the base. Once it's dry, I added the color. I used Olive Branch, Kiss Me Red, Lantern Yellow, Parisian Purple, In Your Face Orange, Iced Tea, Swimming Hole, and Prickly Pear Perfection for this card. You don't have to put down white prior to the color, but your colors will look more dark and muted. If that's the look you're going for, then great! Go for it!
Once all the stenciling is done and dry, I added the stamped images in Raven ink. I then adhered the card panel and a border cut from the same kraft cardstock on a white A2 card base. I added some sweet little blue gems for a little bit of sparkle to finish off the card. My favorite images are the lower right butterflies and the flower trellis in the lower left. What are your favs?
I hope you pick up these wonderful products and find some time to play. They are extraordinary! Crafty hugs, LeeAnn
