Rainbow Blending

Hello and welcome back to the LDRS Inspiration Blog.  I am happy to bring you a fun technique today that I LOVE to use.  I will show you a simple Rainbow ink blending technique using only 3 LDRS Hybrid Ink colors!  Let's get to it!

I am using a standard A2 white card panel and will be blending with a stencil from the Pattern Background Stencils set.  I chose the Butterflies.  The 3 inks I will be using are Lipstick Jungle, Dan-D-Lion, and Tropical Sea.  I start with Lipstick Jungle and blend the top third of the cardstock.  Next, I add the Dan-D-Lion and overlap the Lipstick Jungle to do the middle third of the card stock.  Lastly, I do the bottom third in Tropical Sea, again overlapping the Dan-D-Lion.  I will go back and re-blend all 3 colors to get a good mix of orange and green between colors.

When it's complete it should look like this!

Isn't it the most beautiful rainbow mix???  I just love it!  And it's perfect every time!!!  Next, we will start building our card.  I chose to let this background shine and just add a nice stand alone sentiment from the Travel Word Dies set.  I die cut the sentiment 3 times from black card stock spritzed with shimmer mist and stacked the die cuts for dimension.  I also added a stamp from the Here Comes the Sun Postage Collage Stamp set.  I absolutely adore the Postage Collage collection and use it any chance I get!  I die cut the stamp using the coordinating Nested Postage Collage Dies.

Time for assembly!  I die cut the card panel using the Pinpoint Rectangle Dies.  I then layered the card panel on an A2 top folding card base in a sea glass color.  I adhered the card panel with foam strips, then adhered the sentiment with liquid glue.  Lastly, I attached the stamped, heat embossed image with foam squares.

That rainbow is just so HAPPY!  You can't help but have a happy day opening a rainbow card!  I'd love to see what cards you create using this blended rainbow!  The possibilities are endless!

Happy crafting, LeeAnn
