Ruby celebrates!

Hello Everyone, 

It is Zsofi here today with a pretty birthday card featuring the sweet Ruby Celebration stamp set. I love this image, so fun to colour and it is big enough to be the focus of a simple card!

I started with stamping the girl on alcohol marker friendly white cardstock. I stamped a couple of sentiments next to her using the Celebrate stamp set (it is at an incredible price now!) and some hybrid inks: Raven and Lipstick Jungle.

Then I coloured the image with alcohol markers keeping the colours down to pinks and grays mostly. I cut down the panel and gave it a black thin mat.

I chose a pink patterned paper from the Candy Counter paper pad and added 2 pieces of gingham ribbon which I adhered to the back of the paper. I rarely use ribbon on my cards lately but I felt it adds to the festive feel. I popped up the focal panel with 3D foam tape and adhered it all to a white top folding card base. I used a bit of clear shimmer on Ruby's dress and covered the flowers on the cake and the bow on the dress with glossy accents.
