Sea-themed card: break free from traditional color palettes

Hello everyone! Lounon here !

I know we usually think of blue for ocean-themed cards, but this time I went for a pretty mix of browns and pinks instead!

To make my card I used:

-Lighthouse 4x6 Stamps and Coordinating Dies

-Scored Arched Rectangle Dies

-Hand Torn Squares Dies

-Offset Slimline Stackables Dies

First, I stamped the Lighthouse 4x6 Stamps onto white marker-friendly cardstock with my Raven inkpad.

I colored the images with my alcohol markers, using various shades of brown and pink.

After that, I used my Coordinating Dies to cut them.

Then, I die cut a 4" ( about 10 cm) square onto kraft cardstock with one of my Hand Torn Squares Dies and I stamped my sentiment on the top right corner with my brown ink.

I used two of my Scored Arched Rectangle Dies onto light and dark pink cardstocks. I glued part of them on my square and used the die once again to frame it.

I splattered some brown ink on my panel with a brush and water.

After that, I cut the bottom of the square onto brown cardstock and I cut the top with one of the Offset Slimline Stackables Dies. I glued it on my kraft square.

I glued my images on my square (I used foam pads for the lighthouse) and made sure to color the white parts to match with the background.

Finally, I glued my main panel with a bigger square I cut onto dark brown cardstock.

Et voilà!

May the craft be with you !
