Sending Happy Mail

Hello everyone! It's Ashley with a new way to use the Cardinal Seasons stamp and petal pusher die! This set is great, because even though it is a winter set, it can totally be used all year round! I used the flower and foliage images to make this pretty floral card.

Isn't that great? Just a few different colors, and you'd never know this was originally a Christmas set!

I started by stamping all my images from Cardinal Seasons using a rainbow of hybrid inks. For the large purple flowers, I used La La Lavender, Grape Ape, and Dan-D-Lion. The small yellow flowers are Dan-D-Lion, and the small purple flowers are Mrs. Periwinkle and Plum Crazy. The foliage is a mix of Key Lime Pie, Olive Branch, and Evergreen. I then used the petal pusher dies to cut them all out.

Aren't these Petal Pushers the coolest? Look how they cut the petals so you can add more dimension to the flowers! So fun!

For the background, I just blended a bit of Dan-D-Lion ink from the outside working in then framed it with navy cardstock. I arranged all my flowers, leaving a bit of space for a sentiment and popping a few up for added dimension and interest.

I finished my card with a sentiment from Hydrangeas stamped in Dark Wash Jeans hybrid ink to match my navy border.

Experimenting with new color schemes is a great way to stretch your stamps and get a totally different look. Give it a try! You never know what may work!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
