Shopping Haul!
Hi there! Jeannie back today to share a fun card using the stamp set Shopping Haul. This image is freaking adorable because well... who doesn't get the satisfaction of coming home with a bunch of new goodies!
I stamped this image using Raven hybrid ink so I could have a dark and crisp image.
I envisioned splitting the two images so I could create a slider card out of this. To do this, I fussy cut the image carefully after coloring it. The image will be held together by a piece of string replacing the image of the string. I also wanted to use a piece of patterned paper from Country Friends - Sweet Pea. I like the papers in this set because it has a pink vibe to it but some piece lean a little in between pink and purple, which matched how I colored the girl.
I placed the patterned paper at a different slant on the front panel of the card to give it a little bit of a twist and I worked on creating a simple slider channel for the load of packages to move along.
Once I had my slider set, I decided I needed a sentiment. Since this image doesn't have a sentiment, I pulled a sentiment from the Puppy Time stamp set. I used "It's Your Birthday paws and Celebrate". I masked off parts of the sentiment to cover up "paws and" and once I did that, I just used a black marker to add a bit of punctuation.
Sometimes images come together but it shouldn't stop you from splitting them up to create a new twist on it. I like adding a small interactive element adds to the entire vibe of the card.
Hope you enjoyed today's card! I'll see you guys next time with another card.
