Simple Valentine's Day Card
Hi, everyone! It's Lynnea! I'm sharing a simple card that features some ink blending and die cutting using LDRS Creative products. It's another simple design - one that can be used for Valentine's Day, anniversaries, weddings, or any time you want to tell someone you love them.
This is a very simple card, but I mixed together quite a few products. I love to look at my stash and see how I can use things together to really stretch what I have. I started my card by stenciling directly onto an A2 card base. I used Raven Hybrid Ink through the Dot to Dot Stencil and set the panel aside while I did some die cutting.
I cut the pieces for my flower from the Doodle Flower Dies. I cut the stem from green and the petals from two different shades of bright pink. I used liquid adhesive to piece the die-cuts together. This happens to be one of my favorite flower designs, but there are many flowers you can build using the Doodle Flower Dies! I cut the word 'forever' from the Big Word Dies - Love three times from black cardstock and stacked them together for dimension. The word is a thin and I didn't want to spend the time cutting little pieces of foam tape. Cutting multiple sentiments and stacking them together is a great hack for instant dimension!
I had planned to add the flower and sentiment directly to my card, but I decided I needed some sort of barrier to help them stand out. I cut the largest circle from the Double Stitched Scalloped Circle Dies from white cardstock and let it hang off the left side of my card. I left just enough space to fit my flower and sentiment and trimmed the remainder of the circle with my scissors. That's it! You could change the sentiment and adapt this design for any occasion. I hope this project inspires you!
