Slimline Poinsettia

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with LDRS Creative’s stamp set named, Poinsettia

I stamped out this large background using Raven black ink on white cardstock and I colored it using alcohol markers. Although this is a 6x6 background stamp, I wanted to use it for a slimline card. I pulled out the Slimline Scallop die set that contains a die for a stitched card base and cut it out of kraft cardstock.

I decided to cut up the image by trimming it down. I did want to add a fun sentiment in the middle using the Snowflakes and Blizzards stamp set. Since it's a round sentiment, I used one of the circle dies from the Slimline Scallop die set to cut it out. I stamped it using Watermark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder. I also took another piece of cardstock and covered it with Watermark ink heat embossing it with gold embossing powder. I matted this card base on a black slimline card base.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful card. It inspires me to also use my 6×6 paper pads this way for slimline cards. The possibilities are endless.
