Snowflakes and blizzards!

Good morning everyone!

Stephanie here with you today on the LDRS Creative blog and I'm so happy to share a winter scene using no less than 7-8 products from the Fall/Winter Release!

Alright, alright, I'm cheating a little when I count the Raven hybrid ink pad and

Watermark Emboss pad as my 7th & 8th elements, but since all the hybrid ink bundles are on sale right now until January 10, it counts, right? Oh well! :-P

Since Christmas is gone but winter has stayed, I thought why not embrace the season and create a fun, snowy project. I first started with an A2 cardbase, onto which I added a patterned sheet of paper from the City Sidewalks 6x6 paperpack. The light blue one with the mailboxes really stole my breath the first time I saw it and almost wouldn't use it because it was too pretty as it was!

Next, I stamped the Ice Valley stamp onto my favorite coloring cardstock with

Raven hybrid ink and colored the whole scene. Now if you look closely on my card, you'll notice that I cheated a little bit with the trees from the back. In fact, instead of masking the scene and adding the cute little house from the 34th Street stamp set, I simply cut the silhouette of the trees with a precision blade and slid the house behind them before glueing the whole thing down. Easy peasy!!

Then, to add a more whimsical touch, I stamped and colored two little guys from the Snowball Fight stamp set, diecutting them with the coordinating die set. I popped them with foam tape for more dimension.

After embossing a sentiment from the Snowflakes & Blizzards stamp set in rose gold with the Watermark Emboss pad, I diecut the whole panel with the second largest die from the A2 stitched layered card toppers die set.

Placing the new stitched panel onto my card front with foam tape completed the whole thing.

And that's it, everyone! Hope you liked it :-)
