Something Wicked This Way Comes

Hello everyone, Maria here on the blog with you!

Halloween is almost here and my house is fully decorated with pumpkins, ghosts and witches!  My cat is even loving the moving witch's broom in the living room! The only thing I need now is for the weather to change and everything will be perfect!  Since I don't have any control of the weather, I thought I'd make a spooky card instead!

For my card below, I am showcasing the Haunted Collage Stamp Set, along with the Mixed Scallop Rectangle dies and the Stitched Layered Frames Die Set.

Something Wicked This Way Comes

I started by die-cutting some white card stock using the second die from the  Mixed Scallop Rectangle dies.  I followed by die-cutting the dark purple card stock using the biggest die from the same set.  I covered a portion of the white die-cut so I can ink-blend the Pink Tutu and Tangerine Dream Hybrid inks using some Washi Tape.

I stamped the Haunted House and the Witch from the  Haunted Collage Stamp Set using Raven Hybrid ink.  I fussy-cut the images with some precision snips and foam-mounted to the ink-blended background for added dimension.  I wanted the Witch to be flying by a bigger moon so I opted to use an older LDRS stamp set (retired), adhering it to the background then adding the witch with foam adhesive.

Since these stamps are quite small, I wanted to balance and create a nice impact by adding layers and foam adhesive to the die-cuts to create the card.  The orange card stock was die-cut using the biggest die from the  Stitched Layered Frames Die Set, and adhered on some white notecard.  Foam-mounting the purple scallop frame and the focal panel created layers, and balanced the whole aesthetic of the card.

I finished the card design by stamping more stars to the background and the sentiment using Grape Ape Hybrid ink.  Here's another look:

I hope you like this card and got inspired!  The supplies I used are listed and linked within the context of this post.  Thanks for stopping by!
