Spooky Tree Slimline Card

Hi everyone!  Annie here, and today I'm sharing a fun Halloween slimline card featuring the Build-A-Tree Stamp Set and coordinating dies.  With a creepy background and a few cute Halloween characters, this tree goes from pretty to spooky in no time!
I started by creating the colorful and fun background.  After cutting a piece of white cardstock with the outer frame die from the Slim Line Corner Scallop Die Set, I lightly blended five different hybrid inks from the bottom to the top (In Your Face Orange, Tickled Pink, Grape Ape, Plum Crazy, and Raven) with blending brushes.  Then, I went back over the same areas with another layer of the same color, this time placing the cloud edge from the Rainy Day Stencil in about the middle of each inked section.  This gave me tons of color variation and texture.
I stamped the tree, leaves, and owl from the Build-A-Tree Stamp Set and the ghost, bat, spider, and pumpkins from the Happy Haunting Stamp Set in Raven hybrid ink and colored them all in with alcohol markers before cutting them out with the coordinating dies.  The moon was cut from white cardstock using the By The Light Of The Moon Die Set and inked with a little Lantern Yellow Hybrid Ink for a Halloween night look.
After adhering the inky background to a slimline-sized white card base, I popped a black frame cut with the two largest dies in the Slim Line Corner Scallop Die Set up on top using foam adhesive before adding all of the images to the scene.
The final touch was a cute Halloween sentiment from the Happy Haunting Stamp Set that I embossed in white on black cardstock before cutting it out with the small square frame from the same Slim Line Corner Scallop Die Set.
I hope you enjoyed this cute and spooky Halloween slimline card and thanks so much for stopping by today!
