Stacked Fuzzy Wuzzies Slimline Card

Hi all, Jen here again! Autumn is in full swing where I live at the moment but I'm not ready to full away the bright colors of the summer just yet. So this month I decided to create a fun rainbow colored card using the absolutely adorable Fuzzy Wuzzies from the Cozy Corners collection.

Products used

Fuzzy Wuzzies 4x6 Stamps and Coordinating Dies – LDRS Creative

Tickled Pink – LDRS Creative

In Your Face Orange – LDRS Creative

Banana Cream Pie – LDRS Creative

Prickly Pear Perfection – LDRS Creative

Dark Wash Jeans – LDRS Creative

Mrs. Periwinkle – LDRS Creative

Raven – LDRS Creative

I began by cutting and scoring a black card base which measures 8 1/2" x 3.1/2" and set it aside. Then a cut a piece of smooth white cardstock to 8 x 3 inches.

I then placed the white card panel into my stamp positioning tool and stamped 6 of the fuzzy wuzzy bodies in a stacked line using a rainbow of LDRS Creative hybrid inks. To ensure I had the correct spacing I started with the green Fuzzy Wuzzy and worked outwards from there. There are several different body shapes included with the stamp set and I decided to use them all on this card design.

Next I stamped their cute little feet in Hybrid ink and drew on their beaks with a black fine line marker. I also added some fine black splatter for some added interest.

For their eyes I die cut them out of the same smooth white cardstock and stacked them onto another die cut to add dimension. The pupils of the eyes were stamped with raven ink using an acrylic block.

I adhered the eyes to each of the Fuzzy Wuzzies with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment "you're so tweet" under the stacked Fuzzy Wuzzies to ground the image then glued the finished card panel onto the black card base.

To finish the card a used a black glaze gel pen on their beaks and pupils and added some red clay hearts for a little more decoration.

How adorable are these little guys? I kept them quite simple for this project but the stamp and die set offer so many other options to customize them. The possibilities are endless!

Why not give it a try yourself?

Catch you all again soon, bye x
