Stinkin' Amazing

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today. I wanted to share a card perfect with Valentine's Day in mind but also pulling out an older stamp set so I can stick with one of my crafty new year's resolutions of using what I have. The one that came to mind immediately was LDRS Creative’s stamp set named, Stinkin' Amazing. 

I decided to use the main skunk in the stamp set to be my focus. On the packaging, it shows how they are colored and how the different images could work together. I saw the skunk hiding a flower behind his back and thought this was perfect for a Valentine's card. 

I went ahead and stamped him out using Raven ink. I wanted him to hold a full bouquet of these flowers, so I had to do a bit of masking as well. LDRS Creative’s masking paper is really great for these intricate images because of it's thickness. It doesn't rip easily and works perfectly. 

I stamped a bunch of the flowers as well as some of the stem of leaves to fill out the bouquet. I actually only stamped out five flowers at first and went back in to add two more flowers by stamping and fussy cutting them out to add. I'm so in love with how this turned out! 

For the background, I really wanted to use the two hearts in this set. I decided to stamp them on a piece of light pink cardstock using Watermark ink and heat embossed the images in gold. 

To finish off the card, I stamped out the sentiment in Raven ink and matted the sentiment strip in white. I did the same with the card panel to tie everything together.
