Stitched Heart Shaped Card

Hello! Do you ever make shaped cards? It's so easy to create cards with any large die cut shape you have. I'll show you how using the LDRS Creative Open Hearts release!
I have a video tutorial above showing you step by step how I created this fun shaped card. It's really easy! I used the largest heart in the Stitched Heart die set and die cut one from white cardstock and one from a piece of patterned paper from the Love Birds 6x6 Paper Pad. I added a score line on the patterned paper die cut heart about a half inch from the top so that I could form the base of the card. I added strong adhesive to the back of the flaps that I created from scoring the die cut heart and glued the patterned paper heart on top of the white cardstock heart. That creates my shaped card base! But definitely check out the video - I'm terrible at written instructions! Haha!
Now it's time to decorate this cute heart shaped card! I stamped the two pandas and the banner from the Panda Play stamp set with Raven Hybrid Ink and colored them with alcohol markers and die cut them with the coordinating Panda Play die set. I stamped a sentiment from the Love Stack stamp set with Raven Hybrid Ink and die cut it with the Sentiment Stack coordinating die. I glued everything to the front of the card.
This is such a cute and easy way to make a bunch of Valentines! You could even switch up the patterned papers and images on the front of the card! I hope this inspires you to create some shaped cards with the new Open Hearts collection from LDRS Creative!
