Teal Sweetheart Floral

Hi all, Kirstynn here sharing a card using supplies from the new With Affection Collection.

To start I used the Sweetheart Floral Impression Letterpress Dies and Layering Stencils Bundle  to create this gorgeous pressed image. The results you get from these letterpress dies are absolutely stunning and I love having the additional texture in the final result.

I then used the coordinating stencils to ink over top of the image. I used multiple different shades of teal dye ink to fill in the flowers. By layering the ink you can create different shades also. So I did ink the center more heavily with each color, and also layered a darker ink on top.

I used a micro cotton swab and the darkest ink to fill in a few different areas of the floral images. A small paint brush would work also.I filled mostly the centers, the stamen and the back of some of the petals. By doing this you can create a lot of variation in the floral elements and still have a very monochromatic look. I also added some details with a white gel pen.

I used a similar technique to fill in the leaves. Once I had the floral piece completely done, I cut it using the coordinating die. I also cut a few layers in white cardstock to stack behind for some additional dimension. This floral element would be stunning alone on a card base, but I wanted to add an additional element to it. To do this, I used the Delicate Stitches Scalloped Oval Dies and cut out an oval to place behind my floral element. I layered these elements onto a white A2 card base and moved onto the sentiment.

I found a sentiment in the Cosmos Stamp Set and stamped that in the darker teal color and adhered that to the bottom right corner. Last but not least, I added some dew drops to around the sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed this card. I really enjoyed making it. It was pretty quick to assemble and would be beautiful in an array of colors, maybe even a set with different colors.

Happy Crafting!
