Thanks for Everything

Hi everyone!

Ilina here and Happy Monday! Do you want to make slimline cards but feel intimidated by their size? Have you tried mini slimline? They are much smaller and so much fun to make. LDRS Creative makes it easy, as there are cover plates for mini slimline cards available.

For my card today I used the Basket Weave Mini Slimline die and paired it up with the new Thankful Flowers Slimline stamp set, Layering stencil set and coordinating dies.

To make the card start by stamping the flower bunch using Raven Hybrid ink on white card stock. I stamped it few times using my stamping tool and while the ink was still wet I embossed using Clear Embossing powder.

Using the coordinating stencils I "colored" the image using the LDRS Creative Blender brushes and the following hybrid inks: Peachy Keen, In Your Face Orange, Little Boy Blue, Tropical Sea, Prickly Pear Perfection, Olive Branch, Pink Tutu and Lipstick Jungle.

When you are applying color with ink blending brush you can control the intensity of the color by the pressure you apply and amount of ink. You can apply several layers of ink for more intense look, or light pressure and one layer of color for soft look.

Once done die cut the image and set aside.

Stamp the sentiment on black card stock using Watermark Emboss pad and emboss in white. Die cut using the coordinating die.

Die cut the Slimline Basket Weave mini slimline from white card stock. Die cut 2 additional layers using only the frame. Stack them up. This will add some dimension and little more weight to your card making it more sturdy. Position the image over the die cut and determine how much of the image you would like to be covering the die cut panel. Using only the frame from the Basket Weave die die cut the flower image and adhere on top of the die cut panel making sure it is lined up. Adhere the sentiment and then the entire panel to a mini slimline card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you have an amazing day!
