Thinking of You Friends
Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with LDRS Creative’s stamp set named, Friends, along with the die set, Thinking of You.
I love large die cut sentiments for the simple reason that it helps be a focal for a simple card. I love these larger die cut sentiments that LDRS Creative has in their shop. There's a few of them, but for today's card, I decided to use "Thinking of You" by cutting it out of red cardstock.
Friends is a larger stamp set that contains a lot of images and sentiments. I focused on the little cute kids sitting on a bench reading. I stamped the image using Raven black ink on white cardstock to color up with alcohol markers. Using the coordinating die cut, I was able to cut this out so quickly.
The perfect backdrop for this image is the largest heart from the Stitched Heart Die set, which I cut out with the same red cardstock I used for the sentiment.
To pull this card all together, I took a piece of patterned paper from the Lovebirds paper set that was pretty neutral but fit the theme. This paper pack has a lot of fun patterns that work well for an interesting card panel. Doesn't this work perfectly as a background for this card?
This was a pretty easy and quick card to put together: patterned paper, die cut sentiment, die cut shape, and the stamped image. Have you been making a lot of cards while spending time inside? I have!
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!
